Wings remain hot in game against the Anaheim Ducks, winning 5-1. I am not sure what the rest of Red Wings nation thinks but I believe the Wings have found their starting goaltender in Ville Husso. Husso stopped 32 shots to remain undefeated on the season, 4-0-0.
Detroit has come out red hot and is playing well for new head coach Derek Lalonde and there seems to be a different feel to this team. Our captain, Dylan Larkin, got the scoring started just over two minutes into the game and David Perron bookended his goal with one late in the first period.
The second period was all Husso as the Ducks tried and tried to get the puck past him without any success. The only goal scored was for the good guys, when Joseph Veleno put one past Anaheim’s goaltender.
The third saw two more goals by Kubalik and Soderblom.

In their second game of the week, the Red Wings had the Devils come into LCA, and we suffered our first loss of the young season 6–2.
Alex Nedeljkovic got the start between the pipes in this one. And this writer believes that Alex should not be the starting goaltender for our team. His save percentage is below .900, and while the season is early it is showing that Husso is just a better player at this point. The biggest stay to show the difference is Nedeljkovic gives up an average of just under 4 goals per game and Husso is giving up only just under 2.5.
This is the Wings first regulation loss this season.

On Thursday, Detroit traveled to Boston to take on the Bruins and suffered their second straight loss of the season, 5-1.
Ville Husso had his first rough start of the season giving five goals. Husso had a rough third period, however, he remains the solid choice as the everyday starter.
Winger Adam Erne scored the only goal for the Wings on this night.
So the first losing streak of the season has happened and we will see in the next game how our guys respond.

On Saturday, the Wings were back in their friendly confines of LCA, and they were there taking on the Minnesota Wild.
Ville Husso get the start again and he did not disappoint stopping 30 of the 31 shots he faced. That one came at the 1:28 mark of the first, and he played bad down the rest of the way.
Lucas Raymond scored both Red Wings goals with assists on both going to Dylan Larkin.
