October 23 2022 recap

Utah Jazz did everything right in the first half, they were good defensively and offensively. They had 2 players in double figures and were up 63-53, Lauri markkanen had 20 PTS, and jarred Vanderbilt had 15 PTS. They were able to stop the Pelican’s bigs and the Pelicans seemed to be frustrated. The Jazz rookie Walker Kessler was great at blocking shots and had 2 blocks in the first half of the game. He also had 3 PTS and 6 rebounds. The Utah Jazz has been great so far this half!

Second Half recap:

The Utah Jazz was excellent in the 3rd quarter and defended the Pelicans and kept the lead. Lauri Markkanen was excellent again in the 3rd quarter defending and scoring all at once, Walker Kessler was great at screening plays for his guys to get past the defenders and score, he also did great at defending as well, at the end of the 3rd quarter Malik Beasley shot a three-pointer and made it at the buzzer. Start of the 4th quarter they stole from Zion and Mike Conley made a three, then stopped the pelicans again and Mike again made a Two, they are showing why they are so far the best team in the league in shooting! The pelicans remain frustrated and you can tell how frustrated the pelicans were! The pelicans were 8-0 run the jazz was up by 9 still, then Kelly made a three to silence the crowd. The pelicans were able to tie the game in the 4th, and the Utah Jazz was tied with 12 seconds left in the 4th, the buzzer-beater did not make it and Utah Jazz have gone to overtime. The overtime started the Pelicans made 2 quick shots, the Jazz got fouled 2 times, the Utah Jazz was ahead then the Pelicans made a shot and was behind by 1 PT, then the Jazz made a bucket and was up by 1. The Jazz made 2 free throws to take 1 PT lead with 11.5 seconds of the overtime. The pelicans made a shot to take the lead in overtime, but with 8.5 seconds left the Jazz used a timeout, Kelly made a 2 PT with 3.5 seconds to spare and the pelicans missed, Utah Jazz won 122-121! This win on the road made the Utah Jazz 3-0 to start the season.

October 25 2022 game recap:

This was the Utah Jazz’s first back-to-back game to start the 2022-2023 season. The Utah Jazz in the first half started slow and couldn’t make baskets, they had 2 OT and a back-to-back, they look tired but they weren’t too far behind in the first half, Houston rockets energy and that were showing.

2nd half recap:

The Utah Jazz ended the half and started the 3rd quarter with more energy and Kelly has been good at three! Vanderbilt has been really good at defense so far this game and season, Jordan Clarkson made a basket and tied the game 57-57 in the 3rd. The Utah Jazz after Lauri’s basket had the first lead of the night 63-62 that didn’t last long since Houston made a three and the score went to 63-65. The 3rd quarter ended and the Jazz was still behind! The 4th quarter started and Simone hit 2 three points back to back, they were still behind even with the effort 90-96, The Utah jazz in the 4th is starting to score and defend and was down 2 PTS with 2:38 seconds left of the game. Simone is doing good at defending and scoring threes and twos. This game is the longest he played this year! The Utah Jazz Lost this game after not making the clutch three-pointer. The Utah Jazz was tired after the last 2 overtime and back-to-back. The final score was 108-114 they are now 3-1 for the season.

October 26 2022 recap:

Utah Jazz started the game against a revenge game against Houston rockets, they were really good at defending and shooting, and They were ahead by 1 PT. The Utah Jazz started the 2nd quarter making threes and defending/making stops on Houston Rockets, Jordan Clarkson made a three that hyped up the Utah Jazz fans. The fans were loud and that hyped up the Utah Jazz they were defending causing turnovers on Houston and making threes!

2nd Half recap:

The Utah Jazz started the third quarter doing good, defending, and making threes they are back to like they used to be before they lost to Houston last game. Horton Tucker made a dunk and was fouled, he made the free throw and made it. This dunk made the fans loud and cheered! The Houston Rockets made some stops on Utah Jazz and the Jazz couldn’t make shots, the Houston made it then the Jazz is only up by 10 PTS at the end of the third. Starting the 4th quarter the Jazz couldn’t make any baskets letting Houston back in the game. The Jazz was still slow and couldn’t make much letting Houston catch up more. Before a three-pointer by the Utah Jazz a Houston Player was down by the other court the Utah Jazz made a three and Houston called time out, the Utah Jazz players all came to make sure that player is ok, this shows good team spirit! This is what Utah Jazz is about showing that they care still. The Utah Jazz started defending again and making shots, they were ahead with 22.5 seconds ahead Mike Conley was fouled, Mike Conley made 1/2 free throws, and Houston called time out. Houston made a Two making it 107-101 Jazz was still ahead, they fouled Malik Beasley, and Malik made 2/2 making it 109-101 with 12 seconds left of the 4th, Utah stole the ball, and Won 109-101. This made the Utah Jazz 4th win of the 2022-2023 season, this was a revenge game for Utah beating Houston.

October 28 2022 recap:

The Utah Jazz was red hot starting the first quarter, they then went cold and the Nuggets were able to take the lead. The Utah Jazz was not able to stop the Nuggets players doing the first quarter after the Jazz went cold! The Utah Jazz 1st quarter was 23-35, they were cold and couldn’t stop Nuggets players from doing the 1st quarter. The Utah Jazz started the 2nd quarter well and was able to stop Denver somewhat and was able to make shots and defend. The Utah Jazz went cold again and the Denver Nuggets were still ahead 50-63 end of the First half!

2nd half recap:

The Utah Jazz started the 3rd quarter by making shots and stopping Nuggets, Lauri made a Dunk and at the other end they made a stop to make a run and made it just down by 9 PTS, 59-68, the Nuggets called timeout! The Jazz did go cold after the Nuggets time out and the Nuggets were up 67-84 with 2:01 seconds left of the 3rd quarter, Colin sexton started doing good making baskets and free throws, but he scored just 13 PTS in the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter started and Denver was able to make shots while the Utah Jazz was not able to at the beginning of the 4th quarter. The Jazz coach Will Hardy took all starters out and put in the bench players at 8 min mark. The Utah Jazz just couldn’t make stops or baskets in the 2nd game against Denver Nuggets, they lost 101-117! They will

Play Memphis on a Back to Back game.

October 29 2022 recap:

Utah Jazz started out playing good and good defense against Memphis, they then let Memphis go on a run and they were ahead, Will Hardy called time out and that let the Jazz take a break and get back together, after the time out the Jazz went in a run. Colin Sexton started instead of Mike since Mike was out due to rest, Colin did a really good job holding down Memphis and shooting the three in the first half, and Lauri did good defending and rebounding the ball.

Second Half recap:

The Utah Jazz started the 2nd half the same way they did with the 1st half, they let the Memphis catch up but the Jazz held it together and was still ahead beginning of the 3rd quarter, Kelly shot back to back Threes and the fans were loud and were getting excited. Doing the 3rd quarter the Jazz led the whole time and didn’t let the Lead go to Memphis, there were times when they let the lead go down but they didn’t lose the lead doing the 3rd quarter, Lauri blocked a shot and the Jazz defended and stopped Memphis from scoring went on a 7-0 run, Memphis then made a three and the Jazz lead gone down to 4 points. The Jazz did foul Memphis and the player made a layup making the lead to 2 points, Memphis made the free throw the lead was up only by 1 PT. The Jazz did not score in 3rd with 3:44 seconds until Jordan Clarkson made a two with a foul, he missed the free throw. Memphis did take the lead 83-87. The Jazz started the 4th quarter couldn’t shoot the three but was able to defend and make stops against Memphis, the Jazz was 4 PTS behind with 8 Min left of the 4th, Will Hardy called timeout. The Jazz after the timeout was able to make stops and score to bring the score 101-103 jazz was down by Two points. The Memphis called timeout after the Utah Jazz run, The Jazz is still was able to make stops but Memphis was able to get the lead to 5 PTS ahead, The Jazz made a basket to cut down the Memphis lead. The Memphis fouled Lauri after his dunk, Lauri made 2/2 free throws to cut down the lead by Memphis to 3 PTS. The Jazz was able to take the lead with 1 Min left after the basket by Kelly, then Beasley made another 3, the jazz did a 8-0 run doing the stretch and was up by 4 PT with 22 PTS seconds left of the game. The jazz was able to stop Memphis and made Memphis turn over with 22 seconds left of the game, The Memphis challenged the out of bounds call. The Memphis won the Challenge and Memphis got the ball back with 19.5 seconds left of the game, the Memphis brooks made a clutch three and made the lead just to 1 PTS with 15.1 seconds left of the game, the Utah Jazz called time out. The Jazz was down by 1 PTS with 3.5 seconds left of the game, The Jazz stopped the Memphis and it went out of bounds with 1.4 seconds Memphis ball, The Jazz won 124-123.
