The battle of 2 unranked SEC teams, results in another Texas A&M loss.
The game was ugly from the start for the Aggies, as South Carolina returned the opening kickoff for a 100-yard touchdown.
The Gamecocks would strike for 17 points in the first quarter while A&M would only kick a field goal to make it 17-3 after the first quarter.
The Aggie defense would shut out South Carolina in the second quarter while scoring 11 points to make it 17-14 at the half.
Both teams would trade touchdowns in the third quarter, leaving the Gamecocks with a 24-21 lead heading into the fourth.
The score would stay the same until late in the fourth when South Carolina would score a touchdown (XP missed) to push their lead up to 30-21 with 4:00 minutes left in the game.
A&M would add a meaningless field goal with 13 seconds left in regulation, giving us the final score of 30-24.
A&M, who started the season ranked #6 in the country, now sits below .500 at 3-4. Things won’t get any easier as they will host #7 Ole Miss next weekend at Kyle Field.
