Another tough week for the Wild

Another disappointing week for the Minnesota Wild. They did manage to put one in the win column but overall terrible goal-tending and defense caused this week. Let’s take a look at the games and week:

10-17 vs. Colorado Avalanche
Once again the Goalie position was terrible, I was beginning to wonder if the goalies knew their job was to stop the puck from going into the net. This time Gustavsson let in 5 goals as the Wild lost 6-3. There were two bright spots for the Wild Kaprizov who scored 2 goals and Addison who had 3 helpers. The defense was non-existent once again. Just an overall frustrating start to the season for the Wild.

10-20 vs. Canucks
The Wild goalies finally learned that their job is to stop the puck from going into the net. It did take OT, but the Wild won 4-3. Kaprizov scored the game-winner in OT, he also had 2 assists. Zuccarello scored 2 goals and had 1 assist. Fleury started in the net and let in 3 goals but stopped enough of them to get the win. The Wild ended their 4-game home stand 1-3 and allowed 20 goals.

10-22 @ Boston
The Wild had their first road game of the season. They had the same results as the majority of the season so far, a loss. Fleury was in the net for this game and allowed 4 goals as the Wild lost in OT, so they still got a point. It has been a tough start to the season for Wild fans, as they are now 1-4 to start the season. The offense has managed to score at least 3 goals every game. The defense and goalies need to get better if the Wild are going to win more games. Otherwise, it could be a long season.
