Houston defeats the Yankees 3-2 and remains undefeated in the 2022 Postseason. Not only is Houston still undefeated so far this postseason, but they continue their dominance over the Yankees.
Framber Valdez and the Houston bullpen struck out 13 Yankees and held them to only 4 hits. (Houston pitching has struck out 30 Yankee batters in the first two games in this ALCS).
The Astros scored all three of their runs on a 3rd inning, 3-run Alex Bregman home run off of Luis Severino.
New York scored both of their runs in the 4th inning thanks to some sloppy defense from the Astros.
So far this postseason, the Yankee offense has looked flat out bad. If something isn’t drastically changed, the Bombers will be enjoying their off season fairly soon.
