Out of the gate, Kenny Pickett and the Steelers offense were clicking. Drove right down the field on the Bucs defense to go up 7-0 early. The rest of the first half was just a bunch of field goals putting the score at 10-9 Steelers at halftime. Steelers received the ball after the half and Steven Sims takes the return all the way down to the TB 12-yard line. An electric way to start the half and immediately the Steelers grab the momentum early as they did in the first half. Pittsburgh ended up being held to a field goal so now the scores 13-9. TB and Brady go down the field and get a field goal themselves 13-12 is now the score. On the next drive for the Steelers their rookie QB gets shoved to the ground by Bucs linebacker Devin White which causes him to slam his head into the turf putting him in concussion protocol, Pickett would miss the rest of the game. Here comes the veteran Trubisky. Beginning of the fourth quarter he drives the Steelers downfield and hits Chase Claypool for a 6-yard TD to go ahead 20-12. Bucs drive down the field in 14 plays and score a touchdown from the likes of Fournette. Bucs attempt to go for 2 but fail after Devin Bush broke up the pass intended for Chris Godwin. Steelers upset the Bucs 20-18. Kenny Pickett although he didn’t play the whole game becomes the 6th rookie QB to start a game vs Brady and win. Do any other Steelers QBs come to mind with that stat on their resume as well? Oh yea, Ben Roethlisberger. Steelers avoid their first 1-5 start since 1988 and are now just one game back of both the Ravens and Bengals(3-3) in the AFC North. As for the Bucs, they fall to 3-3 and are tied for the division lead still in the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons.
