Yanks Drop Game 2, ALDS all squared at 1.

The Guardians rally back and take game 2 of the ALDS by a score of 4-2 in 10 innings.

New York scored first (in the 1st), with a Giancarlo Stanton’s 2-run Homerun off of Shane Bieber, but the Guardians pitching staff shut down the Yanks for the remainder of the game.

Cleveland scored their first run in the 4th inning when Andres Gimenez would hit a single and drive in Josh Naylor. (Cleveland had the opportunity to do big damage after loading the bases, but stranded the runners).

The Guardians would tie the game at 2 in the 5th inning when Amed Rosario hit a solo Homerun off of Nestor Cortes.

The game would stay tied at 2 until the 10th inning when the Guardians would plate 2 go-ahead runs on an Oscar Gonzalez RBI single and a Josh Naylor RBI double.

Emmanuel Clase would throw 2.1 innings and get credited with the win.

The biggest flop of the day award goes to Aaron Judge. He was 0-5 with 4 strikeouts.

In the series so far, he is 0-8 with 7 strikeouts and a walk. Let’s hope his bat wakes up in Cleveland, otherwise, it will be an early winter for the Bombers.

Game 3 of the ALDS will be played on Saturday at 7:37 pm EST.
