NFL Pro Player:

This selection is only based on their pro playing career in any of the following leagues:
- American Professional Football Association(1920-1921)
- National Football League(1922-Present)
- All-American Football Conference(1946-1949)
- American Football League(1960-1969)
Active Players are eligible only if they have 10 or more years of playing experience.
Retired Players are eligible only if they have played at least 1 full season.

This selection is only based on their pro playing career in any league outside of the leagues listed under the NFL Pro Player eligibility.

Retired contributors need to have been in their field for at least 1 full season in their field in order to be eligible.
Active contributors are eligible only if they have 10 or more years of experience in the specific field they would be nominated/inducted for.
